This spirit is transmitted to all collaborators and employees, in order to guarantee that all operations, both storage and transport, strictly comply with safety regulations.
For this reason, the QUÍMICA MER Management has defined a Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Policy in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015, UNE-EN ISO 14001:2015 and UNE-EN ISO 45001:2018 standards for its storage, mixing, packaging and distribution of chemical products activities at its Casarrubios del Monte facilities.
This policy is available to all interested parties who require it and is based on two fundamental axes:
- Satisfy the needs and requirements of our clients and the market, promoting and maintaining a high standard of quality, safety and environmental performance in our products, processes and services.
- Continuously improve the quality of products and services, safety, protection of employee health and safety, and prevention of environmental pollution.
In order to comply with these commitments, QUÍMICA MER establishes the following principles:
- The implementation of an Integrated Quality, Environment and Health and Safety System, subject to continuous improvement to optimize the efficiency of our facilities in these matters.
- Comply with the legal, regulatory and other provisions applicable to its activity.
- Inform, train and raise awareness at all levels. its employees in order to improve their training and motivation, ensuring and encouraging the participation of all staff in raising awareness of personal responsibility and commitment to the quality of their own work.
- Provide the technical and human resources necessary to carry out each and every activity with the utmost respect for the environment.
- Monitor the health of employees based on the risks inherent to each job, with the commitment to prevent potential damage.
- Establish improvement objectives by providing the means to achieve them.
This policy, its objectives and strategic direction integrate at all levels the principles contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as in the main conventions of the International Labour Organisation and in the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights of the United Nations.

QUÍMICA MER defines a Human Rights Policy, which includes respect for and protection of the human rights of our workers in non-work and work environments, linking them to themselves and extending their responsibility to clients, suppliers and society or the community.
For QUÍMICA MER human dignity is inviolable. Every person will be respected and protected, recognizing the right to their physical and mental integrity.
QUÍMICA MER prohibits all discrimination, and in particular that exercised on the grounds of sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origins, genetic characteristics, language, religion or beliefs, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation.
It guarantees equality between men and women in all areas, including employment, work and remuneration.
It will condemn any activity that involves servitude, slavery or trafficking in human beings, as well as torture or inhuman or degrading treatment.
It recognises and respects the right of disabled people to benefit from measures that guarantee their autonomy, their social and professional integration, and their participation in the life of the community.
QUÍMICA MER undertakes to ensure that every person retains the right to the protection of personal data concerning them, which will be processed fairly, for specific purposes and based on the consent of the person concerned or on another legitimate basis provided for by law.
QUÍMICA MER recognises that every worker has the right to work in conditions that respect their health, safety and dignity, to a limitation of the maximum working hours and to daily and weekly rest periods, as well as to a period of paid annual leave.
QUÍMICA MER condemns child labour. Young people admitted to work must have working conditions adapted to their age and be protected against economic exploitation or any work that may be detrimental to their safety, health, physical, mental, moral or social development, or that may endanger their education.
QUÍMICA MER guarantees workers or their representatives, at the appropriate levels, information and consultation with sufficient advance notice in the cases and conditions provided for in Community law and in national laws and practices.
